Video creation, without the editing

NanoFlick started in our family.

When we were kids, our dad shot a lot of video. Sometimes he’d cut a few clips into a short piece we could watch: a birthday, a family trip, a regular Tuesday. We loved those videos. We watched them over and over.

Then he had more kids, and the time disappeared. Editing a short video took a weekend of work, so eventually he stopped making them. The videos we loved most became the ones that didn’t get made.

Years later, Jack asked why.

The answer created this product. The problem wasn’t an editing problem. It was a shooting problem. The simplest, fastest editing process is no editing at all. Solve shooting, and you solve editing. Decide up front what to shoot, in what order, for how long, and when you stop shooting, the video is done.

That idea is NanoFlick. You pick a story. The app guides you through a short, intentional list of shots. When you’re done shooting, you have a video. No timeline. No trimming. Almost as easy as taking a photo.

A side benefit: you stay in the moment. Shoot what you need, then put your phone away.

The same problem is everywhere. A real estate agent who’d love to send a personalized neighborhood walkthrough to a buyer, but doesn’t have an evening to edit it. A restaurant owner who’d love to introduce the staff on social, but never gets around to it. A small business announcing a new service. A creator running a side project. A parent at the playground.

The videos people most want to make are often the ones that don’t get made, because editing is the part that takes the time. NanoFlick removes that part.

The goal is the same as it was when we were kids in front of dad’s camera: more videos worth watching.
