Community Guidelines

NanoFlick exists to help everyone create and share videos. These Community Guidelines set the rules for what is and isn't allowed on our platform. They apply to all content shared on NanoFlick, including videos, story templates, comments, and profile information.

We enforce these guidelines consistently. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans. If you see something that violates these guidelines, please report it to contentcheck@nanoflick.com or use our in-app reporting tools.

You must meet NanoFlick's minimum age requirements to use the Service (see our Terms of Service).

1. Child Safety

Zero tolerance. No warnings. No exceptions.

NanoFlick has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. We report all identified instances to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement.

Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:

Any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct
Content that sexualizes minors, including AI-generated or manipulated imagery
Predatory behavior, grooming, or solicitation directed at minors
Sharing or requesting personal information about minors

Accounts that post CSAM or exploit minors are immediately and permanently terminated. We may also report the account holder to law enforcement.

2. Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery

NanoFlick prohibits the sharing of intimate or sexually explicit images or videos of any person without their consent. This includes:

Images or videos originally shared privately and redistributed without consent
Content captured without the subject's knowledge (hidden cameras, voyeurism)
AI-generated or digitally manipulated intimate imagery depicting real people (deepfake pornography)
Threats to distribute intimate imagery

In compliance with the TAKE IT DOWN Act, NanoFlick will remove reported non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated depictions, within 48 hours of receiving a valid request from the depicted individual or a person authorized to act on their behalf (such as a parent or guardian, or a legal representative). NanoFlick will also make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies of the reported imagery.

To request removal: Email contentcheck@nanoflick.com with the subject line "TAKE IT DOWN Request" and include a description of the content and its location on the platform.

3. Nudity and Sexual Content

NanoFlick is not a platform for pornography or sexually explicit content. Do not post content that depicts or promotes:

Sexually explicit acts or graphic nudity
Content intended to be sexually gratifying
Sexual solicitation

Limited exceptions may apply for educational, documentary, or artistic content where the context is clearly non-exploitative.

4. Violence and Graphic Content

Do not post content that is primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or gratuitously violent. Prohibited content includes:

Graphic depictions of real-world violence intended to shock or glorify
Content that incites or encourages specific acts of violence
Footage of real-world violence shared without appropriate context
Animal cruelty or abuse

5. Self-Harm and Suicide

NanoFlick does not allow content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide. This includes:

Content that depicts, promotes, or glorifies self-injury or eating disorders
Content that provides methods or instructions for self-harm or suicide
Dangerous challenges or trends that may result in physical harm

Content that shares personal stories of recovery, raises awareness, or directs viewers to professional resources is generally permitted. If you or someone you know is struggling, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US).

6. Hate Speech and Discrimination

NanoFlick does not allow content that promotes or incites hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics, including:

Race, ethnicity, or national origin
Religion
Gender, gender identity, or gender expression
Sexual orientation
Disability
Age
Veteran status
Immigration status
Caste

7. Harassment and Bullying

NanoFlick is a place where people should feel safe creating and sharing. The following behaviors are prohibited:

Targeted harassment, bullying, or intimidation of individuals
Stalking or unwanted persistent contact
Doxxing: sharing someone's private information without consent
Swatting or encouraging others to make false reports to emergency services
Coordinated campaigns to harass individuals
Revealing someone's identity without their consent

8. Misinformation

NanoFlick does not allow content that spreads demonstrably false information that could cause real-world harm. This includes:

Health misinformation: False claims about medical treatments, vaccines, or public health measures that could lead to physical harm
Dangerous misinformation: False information that could lead to imminent violence, property damage, or physical harm
Manipulated media: Content that has been deceptively edited or fabricated to mislead viewers about real events

Satire, opinion, and good-faith debate are not misinformation. We consider context, intent, and potential for harm when evaluating reports.

9. AI-Generated and Manipulated Content

AI tools can enhance creativity, but they can also be used to deceive and harm. NanoFlick's policy on AI-generated and manipulated content:

Prohibited: AI-generated deepfakes or synthetic media that realistically depict real people saying or doing things they did not say or do, when presented as authentic
Prohibited: AI-generated intimate imagery of real people (see Section 2)
Prohibited: AI-generated content designed to impersonate real individuals for fraud, harassment, or deception
Permitted with disclosure: AI-assisted creative content that does not deceive viewers about its nature

When sharing AI-generated or substantially AI-modified content, we encourage clear disclosure.

10. Spam, Scams, and Deceptive Practices

Do not use NanoFlick to:

Post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted, or repetitive content
Use misleading titles, descriptions, tags, or thumbnails to attract views
Operate fake or automated accounts (bots)
Promote scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
Engage in deceptive practices to artificially inflate views, followers, or engagement
Distribute malware or links to malicious websites

11. Harmful or Dangerous Activities

Do not post content that encourages or depicts dangerous activities that could result in serious injury or death, including:

Dangerous stunts, challenges, or pranks, especially those likely to be imitated by minors
Instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or controlled substances
Content promoting illegal drug use or abuse of legal substances
Content promoting or facilitating illegal activities

12. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Only upload videos that you created or that you have authorization to use. Do not include content owned by others, such as music, clips from other videos, or copyrighted images, without the necessary rights or permissions.

NanoFlick responds to valid copyright takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). For copyright complaints and our repeat-infringer (copyright strike) policy, including how strikes are counted and when they expire, see our DMCA Policy. 13. Story Template Guidelines

NanoFlick's Story Template Library is a shared resource. When creating templates, follow these additional guidelines:

Accuracy: Template names and descriptions should accurately represent the intended use case and content
No prohibited content: Templates must not encourage or facilitate the creation of content that violates these Community Guidelines
No impersonation: Do not create templates that impersonate other creators or brands
Quality: Templates should be functional, with clear shot descriptions and reasonable parameters

14. Terrorism and Violent Extremism

NanoFlick does not allow content produced by or in support of terrorist or violent extremist organizations. This includes:

Content that promotes or glorifies terrorism or terrorist acts
Recruitment or radicalization material
Content that provides instructions for carrying out attacks
Propaganda from designated terrorist organizations

15. Illegal Activities

Do not use NanoFlick to facilitate or promote illegal activities, including but not limited to:

Sale or promotion of regulated goods (drugs, firearms, alcohol to minors)
Human trafficking or exploitation
Money laundering or financial fraud
Violations of trade sanctions or export controls

16. How We Enforce These Guidelines

Our team reviews reported content to determine whether it violates these Community Guidelines. When evaluating content, we consider:

The intent and context of the content
Whether the content poses a risk of real-world harm
The severity of the violation
The account's history of violations

Graduated Enforcement

We apply consequences proportional to the severity and frequency of violations:

Content removal: The violating content is removed and the user is notified with an explanation
Warning: For first-time or minor violations, the user receives a formal warning and the content is removed
Temporary restriction: For repeated or moderate violations, the account may be temporarily restricted from posting or creating templates
Account suspension: For serious or persistent violations, the account may be suspended for a defined period
Permanent ban: For the most severe violations (CSAM, terrorism, repeated serious violations), the account is permanently terminated

Immediate action violations: Child safety (Section 1), non-consensual intimate imagery (Section 2), and terrorism (Section 14) violations may result in immediate permanent bans without prior warnings.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed in error or your account was restricted unfairly, you may appeal the decision by emailing contentcheck@nanoflick.com with the subject line "Appeal" and a description of why you believe the decision was incorrect.

We will review your appeal and respond within 10 business days. Appeals for CSAM-related removals will not be granted.

17. Reporting Violations

If you see content on NanoFlick that you believe violates these Community Guidelines, you can report it through:

In-app reporting: Use the report button available on videos, profiles, and comments
Email: Contact contentcheck@nanoflick.com with a description of the content and its location

For TAKE IT DOWN Act requests (non-consensual intimate imagery), email contentcheck@nanoflick.com with the subject line "TAKE IT DOWN Request." We will process valid requests within 48 hours.

18. Changes to These Guidelines

NanoFlick may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the law, evolving community standards, or new platform features. We will notify users of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of NanoFlick after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
