Say hi, introduce yourself and say this is just a quick check-in
Tell when it is, where you are, and tell them you’re reaching out to let them know you’re working on something exciting. Details are in the next shot.
Describe the subject of your next video or project. Describe why you’re doing it; why it’s important to you.
Share a provocative claim or question that the viewer will learn when they see your project or video. Tell how you’ve been effected by working on it.
Thank your fans, remind them where they can follow you and sign off.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
