Introduce yourself and the month & year, and tell the viewer you'll be sharing the tale of your latest wager.
Provide an overview of the contest: the game, teams, major players and other context. Don't get into the bet structure or your insights - those are in the next shots.
Now share your insights & intel about the game. What did you know that others didn't? What confidence did you have that wasn't conventional wisdom?
Now share the actual bet in all its structure. Shoot the DraftKings receipt detail on your laptop screen while you describe the legs of the bet. Don't mention how it worked out...that's the next shot.
Now describe how your bet unfolded as the game proceeded. Build up the suspense and deliver a glorious payoff.
Share how much you won and what you plan to do with the winnings.
Now share what you see as your next bet, and invite viewers to follow along. Then say goodbye.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
