Use this guide to quickly create a video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.

Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

In front of the restaurant, have the GM introduce themselves and welcome the new staff to a tour of their new workplace
Record a walkthrough of the front of house as you narrate. Be sure to include the cash registers, kiosks, condiment stations and self-serve beverage stations.
Show the restrooms and highlight the attention to detail in cleanliness and upkeep.
Show the expo/drive-through area. Make sure to show all of the different stations and equipment that staff need to use. Show where it is in relation to the FoH.

Starting from FOH, narrate a kitchen walkthrough. Make sure to include your broiler, boards, food prep stations, sani buckets, refrigerators, fryers, and any other key areas.
Shoot your dry storage, showing it's position relative to your kitchen and FOH. Comment on organization, procedures and key products.
Narrate as you enter the cooler and show the key items and how the overall space is organized.
Narrate as you enter the freezer and show the key items and how the overall space is organized. Also note any safety features.
Show where staff can change out the syrups for the sodas. Make sure to show where the extra stock syrups are stored.
Show the manager's office and other employee areas and resources. Convey that your door is always open and you want them to be successful here.
Back in the dining room our in front of the signage, thank the viewer for watching and welcome them to the team and perhaps share a personal or motivational thought.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
Start wide...
...then move closer on subsequent shot for the scene.
