NanoFlick — Shot-by-Shot Video Guide
Use this guide to quickly create a video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
Provide a quick demo of your app, along with a light-touch sales pitch for prospects to give it a try. You’ll need to do BRIEF screen recordings with the demonstration shots that you’ll import into your video.
Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

Start strong with a silly or provocative image or situation related to the customer problem that your app solves.. Be shocking or outrageous. You need to get attention fast.
Relate to your customer and describe your understanding of the situation or challenge they face.
Show the app's One Big Thing and how it solves their problem. Keep it short. Either shoot the app on a different phone, or do a narrated screen recordings and import into this shot.
Show another high-level aspect of the product - preferably something unique. Comment on how this is better than the competitors. Again, not too much detail - you're just trying to get them to the next step.
Share the results the app has achieved for similar customers. It's best if the results are quantified numbers.
While staying focused on BENEFITS to the customer, mention 3 additional use cases and features.
Thank the viewer and tell them where to go and what to do. Add website using the "Titles" feature (edit this shot after you shoot it). Or use custom endslate when sharing.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
