A 1-minute video to capture the gathering. Depending on the party, you may have to hop among shots or add shots. Keep all shots BRIEF so the video doesn't get too long. Remember that you can re-shoot any shot. Focus on fun, lively moments and reactions.
How to Make a Great Video
Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

00:04You'll have 3 shots to capture the bride-to-be opening gifts. You can reshoot or add shots if you'd like. You don't need to capture every gift. Just provide a sense of what's going on.

00:05Another shot of gift opening. Just shoot the part where the gift is revealed and people react. You don't need to shoot every second of the un-wrapping.

00:05Another shot of gift opening. Again, keep it brief and prioritize shots where people have fun reactions. You can use the green REACTION button to capture your own reaction.

Toast & Speeches 1
00:06Capture just the beginning or end of different toasts. Or specific anecdotes that are shared. Don't capture entire speeches - they don't work on video. You just want snippets.

00:06Capture another great snippet of a toast or speech. Use the re-shoot button to make sure your shots capture great moments and reactions. You don't need the full story of the toast.

00:06Capture another great snippet of a toast or speech. Add more shots if you need to but remember that the goal is a SHORT video. Keep shots short or trim them later.

00:05Show the guests departing and wishing the bride-to-be well.
Top Video Tips
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
Start wide...
...then move closer on subsequent shot for the scene.
