🛏️About This Video Story
Show the features of an individual stateroom, to show prospective guests what to expect and to help them with their choice. If you’re shooting several videos for several rooms, shoot the first shot for each before going into the different rooms.
How to Make a Great Video
Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

Intro
00:05On the main deck, introduce yourself, the cruise line and the ship, and say you’ll be sharing the layout and details of this specific stateroom. Name the room number and/or room class.

Stateroom Intro
00:05Just outside the stateroom, in front of the door (number visible), say “Before we go in,” then share what you like about the ship in general. Then push into the room. Stop shooting once the door opens.

Entering
00:04Show the stateroom as you enter, and pan around a bit while you describe an overview.

Second Angle
00:03Show a reverse angle of the main area of the stateroom.

00:03Show the view outside the window or from the balcony.

00:04Show some close-up detail of the in-room amenities: linens, seating, workspace, minibar, robe, TV.

00:03Enter the bathroom and shoot around, capturing the full scope. The NEXT shot will be detail.

Summary
00:07In the main area of the stateroom (but not backlit in front of window), share your personal observations and summarize the pros and cons of this room relative to others available. Thank them for watching and sign off.
Top Video Tips
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
Start wide...
...then move closer on subsequent shot for the scene.
