NanoFlick — Shot-by-Shot Video Guide
Use this guide to quickly create a video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
This is a custom pitch that's specially targeted to an individual prospect. It should be professional but casual and authentic, rather than slickly produced. It shows the client you're looking out for them personally.
Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

Wide shot of the full facade from street, if possible during late afternoon (golden hour). Use a slight upward angle to convey prominence. Greet them (with their name and yours), and mention the location.
Low-angle shot of the main entrance (with someone walking through if possible). Focus on materials, details or design elements. This creates movement and shows accessibility. Describe how this listing could be a fit.
Continue describing the fit of the listing to their needs while you sweep through the lobby, highlighting the ceiling height, lighting, reception area or premium finishes. Keep camera moving to maintain energy.
If possible, capture people moving through lobby to elevator or other access point. For very small listings, you can skip this shot.
Wide shot of showing the layout possibilities. Use natural window light to emphasize brightness and views. Move the camera to show the space's flexibility. Describe a bit more detail on how it could suit their needs.
Shoot another angle or aspect of the listing. As you describe it, mention the company's groups, teams or executives by name. This shows your focus on THEIR needs and highlights your dedication as their advocate.
If you have access to renderings or plans, show them, either by shooting the printed materials or your computer screen. Discuss the key stats and features.
Shoot the best available view from inside the space. Comment on the location and its access to transit, parking and local amenities.
These next shots are very short shots of 2-3 key amenities: fitness center, conference facilities, rooftop terrace, or cafe. Each shot should be 2-3 seconds max to maintain momentum. No narration needed.
Shoot a few seconds of another amenity. Keep the camera moving. Don't oversell. You want tease them enough to have a live conversation to learn more.
This is your final amenity shot. You can ignore this shot (or add more). You don't have to cover ALL amenities; just the highlights, especially the visually dramatic ones.
Shoot yourself in front of the building, thank them for watching and mention next steps: "Thanks for watching, Dave. Let me know your thoughts. I'll call Monday with more details and other options. Enjoy the weekend!"
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
Multiple angles
Using multiple short shots with different angles is better than one longer shot.
Start wide...
...then move closer on subsequent shot for the scene.
