NanoFlick — Shot-by-Shot Video Guide
Use this guide to quickly create a video for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.
Connect daily with your patrons and followers by sharing the inspiration and details of a signature cocktail. It's best if it's described by a bartender at the bar. Make this while you have a sample available to shoot as a close-up. Consider making several at once.
Shoot each of the shots and keep the duration to the bare minimum. We've included instructions for each shot to create a short, fast-moving video your friends and followers will love. When you're finished shooting, just combine all the shots and you're done.

With the front/signage (or other vibrant background), greet the viewers, introduce yourself and say you'll be highlighting one of your favorite cocktails. Be brief.
At the bar, have the presenter (preferably a bartender) introduce themselves and the cocktail, while holding it.
Place the drink on the table and shoot a close-up. while the bartender narrates a BRIEF description - ingredients and how it was prepared.
Have the bartender BRIEFLY describe why this is special to them. Especially good if it's a personal story or tied to the local community or ingredients.
Thank the bartender for sharing that detail. Mention how you can't wait to try it yourself then take a sip. Invite the viewer to come by soon to enjoy all the great offerings.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
