Video Shot List

ShotDescriptionLength
1

The Hook

00:06

Say or show something provocative to start strong: "Your partner will thank you for this in ways you cannot imagine!" or "I'm going to convince you to toss your favorite jacket." Be fun, funny, outlandish!

2

Intro

00:06

Introduce yourself in front of the store, or a vivid background inside the store. Say the name and location of the store. Best to do so while there's lots of activity in the foreground and background.

3

The Big News

00:04

Look at the camera and get straight to the point! Announce the sale. For example, 'Here's why I'm talking to you today: we're having a 20% off flash sale!'

4

Show The Goods

00:05

Pan across some of the items included in the sale. Create a sense of abundance and excitement. Describe the selections. You'll give a specific example in the next shot.

5

Highlight A Deal

00:06

Focus on one specific product that's a particularly great deal. 'You can get this amazing jacket, usually $100, for just $80!' Move the camera around the item, or have someone model it or demonstrate.

6

The Details & Sign Off

00:06

Again talk directly to the camera and clearly state the duration of the sale (e.g., 'This weekend only!') and any conditions. Thank them for watching and invite them to stop by.

Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
