In front of the McDonalds, with the sign visible behind you, greet the viewer and say that you’ll be sharing your favorite meal choices from McDonalds.
Share the backstory of your choices and your relationship with the food. When did you first eat it and how has it fit into your life.
With the food in front of you on the table in the restaurant, show the tray and comment on each item BRIEFLY. You’ll highlight one special item in the next shot.
Now shoot a close-up of your favorite or most sentimental item, describing why it’s your favorite.
Now take a bite and react to the taste, sharing your thoughts briefly.
Thank the viewer for watching and recommend they try your choices the next time they dine at the golden arches.
Keep it short...
...then cut it even shorter. Usually under 90 seconds for a serious video; under 30 for a fun one.
Keep it moving
Make sure each shot has a point...and get to it fast! No fluff or filler.
Tell a story
Stories need structure. Make sure you've got a beginning, middle and end.
Know the audience
Family will watch a 2:00 video. Everyone else gets bored after 45 seconds.
Focus on people
Go easy on transitions, filters, etc. The best content is people relating.
Time passages
Use transitions like Dissolve or Dip-to-Black to indicate passage of time
